Six Schmitt-trigger inverters in a 14-TSSOP, AEC-Q100 graded
The M74HC14YTTR packs six independent inverter gates, each with Schmitt-trigger input hysteresis, into a 14-TSSOP package. The hysteresis cleans up slow or noisy edges — a 0.3V to 1.5V low-level threshold and 1.5V to 4.2V high-level threshold give roughly 1.2V of typical hysteresis at 4.5V supply, so a 50 mV/ns slew rate on the input still produces a clean output transition. Quiescent current maxes at 1 µA across temperature, so the part adds negligible standby draw in always-powered modules. Output drive is 5.2 mA source and sink at rated supply — enough to switch a downstream gate input or a low-current LED indicator, but not a relay coil. Propagation delay is 21 ns max at 6V into 50 pF, which sets the data-path timing budget for a 24 MHz SPI bus or a 1 MHz PWM loop.
Automotive temperature range and qualification
The package is MSL1 (moisture sensitivity level 1, per the ST datasheet for this family), so no bake-out is needed before reflow if the shelf life is under the floor-life limit.
Active production, RoHS3 compliant
The part is RoHS3 compliant (EU 2015/863), with no exemptions for lead in solder or decaBDE in the molding compound. The closest functional peer is the M74HC14YRM13TR — same die, same logic, same AEC-Q100 grade, same 14-TSSOP package. The difference is the reel option: YTTR ships in tape-and-reel only; YRM13TR adds a cut-tape and Digi-Reel option for prototyping. Both drop into the same PCB footprint and BOM position without a layout change.
