32 Kbit I2C EEPROM — the config and calibration workhorse
The STMicroelectronics M24C32-FMN6TP is a 32Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 4K x 8 bits, accessed over an I2C bus at up to 1 MHz. It is built for storing configuration parameters, calibration constants, serial numbers, and small data logs that must survive power loss.
450 ns access — fast enough for most I2C reads
At 1 MHz I2C (1 µs bit time), the EEPROM keeps up with back-to-back sequential reads without inserting wait states.
