8 Kbit I²C EEPROM in a 2x3 mm package
The STMicroelectronics M24C08-RMC6TG is an 8 Kbit serial EEPROM organized as 1K x 8 bits, accessed over a standard I²C bus at up to 400 kHz. It stores configuration data, calibration constants, or small logs in designs where non-volatile memory with byte-level rewrite is needed — think sensor modules, IoT edge nodes, industrial controllers, and telecom line cards.
Package and footprint — 8-UFDFPN with exposed pad
Housed in an 8-UFDFN exposed-pad package measuring 2x3 mm, this is a surface-mount part meant for compact PCBs.
At 1.8 V the I²C bus timing still meets 400 kHz per the datasheet, but the write cycle time stays at 5 ms regardless of supply. Not automotive-grade (no AEC-Q100 claim in the record), so skip it for under-hood or chassis-domain ECUs.
ROHS3 compliant. The closest functional sibling is the M24C08-RMN6TP (same 8 Kbit, same I²C, same timing, same temp range) but in an SOIC-8 package — a direct drop-in if the board has the room and you prefer a larger body for manual rework.
