Automotive-grade 2Kbit EEPROM for under-hood and chassis systems
It stores 256 x 8 bits in a non-volatile array and communicates at up to 1 MHz on the I²C bus, with a 450 ns access time.
The 1 MHz clock frequency places this part in the Fast-mode Plus (Fm+) I²C tier, allowing a 2 Kbit page to be written in roughly 16 ms (4 ms write cycle time × 4 pages). The 450 ns access time means the first byte is available on the bus within half a microsecond after the address is clocked in — fast enough for real-time parameter lookups in motor-control loops without stalling the CPU. At the 1.8V supply minimum, the 1 MHz rate still holds, which matters for low-voltage automotive domains where the bus is shared with other Fm+ devices.
It is ROHS3 compliant and part of the Automotive, AEC-Q100 series.
Operating from 1.8V to 5.5V, this EEPROM covers both 3.3V and 5V automotive power rails without a level shifter.
