AEC-Q100 dual op amp in a compact 8-MiniSO
Each channel draws 700 µA of supply current and can source or sink 40 mA of output current. Housed in an 8-MiniSO package (3.00 mm width), it suits space-constrained automotive PCBs where the standard SOIC footprint is too large.
The 0.6V/µs slew rate limits large-signal bandwidth — expect about 95 kHz full-power bandwidth at 10 Vpp output. For audio-frequency signal chains in cabin electronics or 100 Hz to 10 kHz actuator drive loops, this is adequate. The 1 mV input offset and 20 nA bias current are typical for the LM358 family; if you need sub-100 µV Vos for precision current sensing, step to a zero-drift type like the TSV358AIDT, which also carries AEC-Q100 and offers 100 µV offset with rail-to-rail output.
This limits the LM358AST to cabin or passenger-compartment applications where the ambient stays above freezing. For under-hood or exterior modules requiring -40°C operation, the LM258AWDT sibling covers -40°C to 105°C while keeping the same pinout and 1.1 MHz GBW.
