The STMicroelectronics LE80CD-TR is a fixed-output positive LDO regulator delivering 8V at 100 mA in an SOIC-8 package. It is designed for post-regulation of switching supplies or clean biasing of analog circuits where a stable 8V rail is needed.
PSRR — what it means for ripple rejection
PSRR is specified at 72 dB at 120 Hz, dropping to 57 dB at 10 kHz.
Protection and control
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection cover the usual fault scenarios — a shorted load or a stalled fan won't kill the regulator. The Enable pin lets you shut down the output for power sequencing or low-power standby; quiescent current when enabled is 1.6 mA typical, and supply current max is 3.6 mA.
No last-time-buy or obsolescence risk.
