The STMicroelectronics LDL212PVR is an adjustable positive LDO regulator in a 6-DFN (2x2 mm) package. It delivers 1.2 A continuous output with a maximum dropout of 0.6 V at that full load.
Dropout and headroom — the real-world constraint
The 0.6 V dropout at 1.2 A sets the minimum input-to-output differential. The adjustable output lets you set any voltage down to 1.18 V with two external resistors.
