What does the L6227PD actually do?
The L6227PD is a fully integrated motor driver from STMicroelectronics' STSPIN L62 series, combining control logic and a DMOS power stage in one 36-pin PowerSO-36 package. It drives one bipolar stepper motor or two brushed DC motors using four half-bridge outputs, each rated for 1.4 A continuous at supply voltages from 8 V to 52 V.
