Single high-side switch with 60 mOhm on-resistance
The STMicroelectronics IPS160HFTR is a single P-channel high-side power switch in a 12-lead PowerSSO-12 package with an exposed pad. It switches a load from 8 V to 60 V, delivering up to 2.4 A continuous output with a typical Rds(on) of 60 mOhm. The input is non-inverting with a 1:1 ratio, and no external Vcc supply is required — the gate drive is self-biased from the load voltage.
Fault protection set reduces external BOM
Integrated fault protection includes fixed current limiting, open-load detection, and over-temperature shutdown. These features eliminate the need for discrete sense resistors or comparators on the output, shrinking the board footprint and reducing component count for the procurement line item.
