Four-channel ESD clamp in a SOT-23-6 footprint
The STMicroelectronics ESDA6V1SC6 is a four-channel unidirectional Zener-based ESD protection array from the ESDA, TRANSIL™ series. It packs four protection channels into a single SOT-23-6 surface-mount package, saving board area compared to using four discrete Zeners. Each channel provides a reverse standoff voltage of 5.25 V typical, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 6.1 V, and the device is rated for 400 W peak pulse power (8/20 µs waveform).
The 400 W peak pulse power rating tells you the device can absorb a substantial transient without failing — enough for IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection on most signal lines. Four unidirectional channels in one SOT-23-6 package means you can protect four separate signal lines (or two differential pairs) with a single component, reducing pick-and-place cost and PCB real estate.
