Four Zeners in one SOT-23-6 — what that saves you
The STMicroelectronics ESDA6V1BC6 packs four bidirectional Zener TVS channels into a single SOT-23-6 package. Each channel clamps at a minimum breakdown of 6.1V, with a reverse standoff of 5V — sized for protecting 5V logic and data lines from ESD and small surges. The 80W peak pulse power rating covers the typical IEC 61000-4-2 ESD strike without needing a bigger device. For a board with four signal lines to protect — USB D+/D−, I2C, or switch inputs — this replaces four discrete Zeners and shrinks the layout to one footprint.
Field-fit check: orientation and handling
SOT-23-6 is a common footprint, easy to hand-solder or rework with a standard iron. The part is marked — pin 1 indicator is visible under magnification. No power-line protection means these are for signal-line clamping only; do not use them on a supply rail. Surface-mount only, so no socket option — but the small package makes it a quick swap on a rework station.
