Sensitive gate — why it matters for the drive circuit
The Logic - Sensitive Gate designation means the triac triggers with a gate current of 5 mA (max) at a gate voltage of 1.3 V (max). That is low enough to be driven directly by a 5 V microcontroller pin through a series resistor, or by a standard MOC30xx-series optocoupler. No extra transistor or Darlington pair needed — one fewer component to source and place.
Sourcing this part
The BTB06-600TWRG is an active ST product with no known supply constraints. We source it through independent distribution channels and can quote firm pricing and lead time against an RFQ.
