The Snubberless construction means the internal structure is designed to commutate inductive loads without an external RC snubber network — one less component to qualify, one less failure point on the board.

At 6 A RMS continuous, this triac handles small motors, resistive heaters, solenoid valves, and lighting banks. The non-repetitive surge rating of 60 A at 50 Hz and 63 A at 60 Hz covers lamp inrush and motor start transients.
No last-time-buy notice or end-of-life announcement is on record for this order code. For dual-sourcing flexibility, the BTA06-600BWRG is a functional equivalent — same Snubberless Alternistor construction, same 600 V / 6 A ratings, same TO-220 package — differing only in the BTA vs BTB prefix (typically the BTA variant has isolated tab, the BTB has non-isolated tab; verify your heatsinking approach before swapping).
Mounting and thermal — TO-220 tab isolation
Through-hole TO-220-3 package. The tab is electrically connected to the MT2 terminal — if you bolt it to a grounded heatsink, use an insulating pad and bushing. The Snubberless design means no snubber resistor-capacitor pair across the triac, but you still need a gate drive circuit capable of sourcing 50 mA peak.
