The BTA08-600BWRG is an Alternistor triac from the Snubberless™ series, designed for AC load switching without an external snubber network. Rated for 600 V off-state voltage and 8 A RMS on-state current, with a non-repetitive surge capability of 80 A at 50 Hz and 84 A at 60 Hz.

Trigger and thermal parameters

Gate trigger current (Igt) is 50 mA max, gate trigger voltage (Vgt) is 1.3 V max, and the holding current (Ih) is also 50 mA max — these values determine the drive circuit's minimum output capability.
