The 5 ns reverse recovery time (trr) is the headline spec for this part. In a boost converter or a gate-drive bootstrap circuit, that fast recovery means the diode stops conducting almost as soon as the voltage reverses, minimising the reverse-recovery charge that would otherwise spike the switching losses. For a 300 mA Schottky, 5 ns is tight — it keeps the efficiency curve clean up into the low-MHz switching range. At 100 mA forward current the forward voltage drop maxes at 900 mV — higher than a power Schottky, but expected for a small-signal part where the trade-off is speed over conduction loss.
