Rated for 3750Vrms isolation, this part meets the basic isolation requirement for many industrial and medical applications where the signal path must survive a dielectric withstand test. The capacitive coupling technology keeps the propagation delay tight at 60 ns max — that 60 ns is the time from input edge to output edge, so the system's timing budget needs to account for it on both rising and falling edges. Common-mode transient immunity is specified at 20 kV/µs minimum. In a motor-drive or inverter environment where the ground plane jumps several hundred volts in a microsecond, this isolator will not glitch the output — the 20 kV/µs figure is the slew rate it rejects without corrupting the data.
