The 5000 Vrms isolation rating, tested per the capacitive coupling technology, provides a reinforced insulation barrier for safety-critical signal paths in motor drives, inverters, and medical equipment where galvanic isolation is mandatory. Propagation delay is 13 ns max in both directions, with a pulse-width distortion of 4.5 ns max. At 150 Mbps, the bit period is 6.67 ns — the 13 ns delay means the isolator adds roughly two bit-periods of latency, which must be budgeted in the timing closure for synchronous interfaces like SPI or parallel buses. Common-mode transient immunity is 35 kV/µs minimum. In a motor-drive application where the IGBT switching edge couples a fast common-mode transient across the isolation barrier, this rating ensures the output does not glitch or latch — the isolator rejects the transient and maintains data integrity.
6-channel unidirectional — 5/1 input split — wide supply range
Six unidirectional channels are configured as five inputs on side 1 and one input on side 2. This asymmetric split suits applications like a microcontroller isolating five digital outputs to a peripheral while receiving one feedback signal — for example, a gate-driver interface with five PWM lines and one fault line. The same part works in a 2.5 V FPGA domain on one side and a 5 V PLC input module on the other.
16-SOIC wide-body — creepage and clearance for 5 kV
The supplier device package is 16-SOIC; the mounting is surface-mount, and the standard tube packaging is suitable for pick-and-place with a tube feeder or manual loading. Rise and fall times are 2.5 ns typical.
