150 Mbps, 6-channel isolation with 50 kV/µs transient immunity
The Skyworks SI8660EB-B-IU is a 6-channel, unidirectional digital isolator rated for 150 Mbps data throughput with 2500 Vrms isolation (UL 1577). The 50 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) means it maintains data integrity when a motor drive or inverter switches at high dV/dt — the isolation barrier does not glitch the output during a fast transient event. All six channels are oriented side 1 / side 2 as 6/0, so this variant isolates a bank of downstream inputs from a single controller without needing reverse-direction channels. The 13 ns max propagation delay (tpLH / tpHL) keeps channel-to-channel skew tight enough for parallel SPI or UART links running at 10+ MHz.
Housed in a 16-SSOP (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) with a 16-QSOP supplier device package, the footprint uses 0.635 mm pitch — a standard layout for 6-channel isolators that matches the SI866x family pinout. The capacitive coupling technology draws lower quiescent current per channel than inductive alternatives and requires no external magnetics.
