5-channel isolation for mixed-voltage domains
The Skyworks SI8651ED-B-IS is a 5-channel digital isolator using capacitive coupling to pass signals across a 5000 Vrms isolation barrier. With a 4/1 input split (four channels on side 1, one on side 2), it handles a typical SPI bus plus an extra control line — chip select plus three data lines on one side, a single interrupt or enable on the other. Rated for 150 Mbps, the propagation delay sits at 13 ns max with 4.5 ns pulse-width distortion — tight enough for most isolated SPI or UART links without needing a separate clock recovery. The 35 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity means it holds data integrity when switching motor drives or relays on the same board.
