Forward drop and leakage — the trade-off at 20 V
The RBS2LAM40ATR: Maximum forward voltage is 480 mV at 2 A. Reverse leakage is 400 µA at the 20 V rated reverse voltage. The 125 °C junction temperature ceiling is standard for a power Schottky in this package class.
SOD-128 PMDT — footprint and rework
Surface-mount in a SOD-128 case, designated PMDT by ROHM. It is a small outline package with a flat lead frame — the same footprint as the common SOD-128 Schottky family. Hot-air rework is straightforward; the exposed pad on the bottom side needs a good solder wetting for thermal transfer. No moisture sensitivity level is listed, so standard handling applies.
Where it fits on the board
The 2 A average current handles small power supplies, LED drivers, and load switches. Not a high-speed switching diode for MHz-range converters; the recovery spec is a general-purpose rectifier class.
