32 V clamp with AEC-Q101 traceability
The PTZTFTE2530B is a 32 V Zener diode in the automotive-grade AEC-Q101 series, rated for 1 W continuous power dissipation in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package. The ±6.25% tolerance on the Zener voltage means the clamp threshold sits between roughly 30 V and 34 V — tight enough for most 24 V rail protection or voltage-reference roles in automotive ECUs, body controllers, and sensor modules. Maximum impedance of 18 Ω at the Zener point keeps the voltage regulation slope shallow under load, so the part holds the rail within a few hundred millivolts as the current varies.
Reverse leakage is specified at 10 µA max with 23 V across the junction — that's the 30% derated point below the Zener knee. If you measure more than a few microamps at 23 V on a pulled board, the die is degraded or the board took a surge that pushed it past the 1 W limit. The junction temperature rating of 150°C is the absolute ceiling; in a 85°C under-hood ambient, derate the power to about 0.6 W to stay clear of thermal runaway.
