±64g acceleration range — industrial and impact sensing
The KX134-1211 is a digital accelerometer from ROHM Semiconductor covering ±8g, ±16g, ±32g, and ±64g full-scale ranges, selectable via register. The top-end ±64g range places it beyond consumer-grade parts (typically ±2g to ±16g) into applications where high-shock events or wide-dynamic-range vibration must be captured without saturating the sensor. Operating temperature spans -40°C to +105°C, so the part survives industrial enclosures, engine-bay heat, and cold-start conditions without a grade downgrade. The 12.8 kHz maximum bandwidth supports vibration analysis up into the ultrasonic range — useful for bearing-fault detection, spindle monitoring, or crash-impact profiling where the event energy sits above 1 kHz.
I²C and SPI — bus-flexible integration
Dual-interface support (I²C and SPI) means the accelerometer can share a 2-wire bus with other sensors or connect to a dedicated SPI port for higher data rates. The 12-LGA (2x2 mm) package (supplier device package 12-LGA) occupies minimal board area. Surface-mount assembly with a standard reflow profile is expected for this LGA form factor. Sensitivity scales with the selected range: 4096 LSB/g at ±8g down to 512 LSB/g at ±64g, so the digital resolution tracks the measurement span.
