Low-voltage rail switching in a 1 mm² footprint
The SLG59M1551V is a single-channel high-side load switch from Renesas, designed for sub-2V core power rails. Its 0.85V to 1.9V supply range (Vcc/Vdd) means it directly switches a 1.2V or 1.8V processor or FPGA core rail without an external level translator — the CMOS input enable pin tracks the same voltage domain.
The 4-STDFN (1x1 mm) package — supplier device package 4-STDFN (1x1) — is a four-lead, 1 mm² footprint. The centre pad is the main thermal and electrical path for the output; the PCB layout must route the output trace from the pad with adequate copper width for 2A without exceeding a 30°C temperature rise.
