5000Vrms isolation for motor-drive and industrial I/O
The Renesas RV1S9060ACCSP-10YC#SC0 is a single-channel high-speed optocoupler in a 5-lead LSO-5 package, rated for 5000Vrms isolation. The 60ns max propagation delay on both edges keeps timing closure tight in fast-switching loops, and the 50kV/µs common-mode transient immunity handles the noise edges from IGBT or SiC switching without false triggering.
With a 60ns max propagation delay on both tpLH and tpHL, this optocoupler fits into isolated SPI, CAN, or RS-485 links running at 15Mbps without eating into the bit-time margin. The 5ns typical rise/fall time keeps the output edges clean, reducing the risk of ringing on long traces. For designs that need to daisy-chain multiple isolated nodes, the matched delay across channels (single-channel here, but the family shares the same timing) simplifies skew budgeting.
50kV/µs CMTI — surviving the switching noise
The 50kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity is the spec that matters when this optocoupler sits on a motor-drive phase leg or a solar inverter output. Fast IGBT or SiC switching edges inject common-mode voltage spikes that can couple through parasitic capacitance and corrupt the output. At 50kV/µs, the RV1S9060 holds its state through those transients, so the downstream controller doesn't see false pulses. That's a step up from standard optocouplers that spec 10–25kV/µs and often need external filtering.
Temperature range and environment
The 5-LSO surface-mount package with 7.50mm creepage distance supports the 5000Vrms isolation rating across that temperature range. The forward voltage is 1.55V typical, and the LED drive current maxes at 6mA, so a standard 3.3V or 5V logic output can drive it directly through a series resistor.
