Memory mix and what it means for firmware
96 KB Flash is enough for a moderate control loop with a communication stack (e.g., Modbus RTU over UART or a simple CANopen node). The 12 KB RAM handles a few hundred bytes of packet buffers plus real-time variables. The 8 KB EEPROM is useful for storing calibration constants or fault logs without wearing the Flash — no external serial EEPROM needed.
Peripheral set for HMI and fieldbus
Capacitive touch sensing is built in, so a membrane panel or touch slider connects directly without a dedicated touch controller. The CSI, I²C, SPI, and UART/USART interfaces cover most fieldbus and sensor links: LINbus for automotive subnets, I²C for local sensor buses, SPI for external ADC/DAC or display modules. The LVD (low-voltage detect) and POR (power-on reset) reduce external supervisor IC count.
