16-bit RL78 MCU with 125°C temperature grade
The Renesas R5F1214AMSP#30 is a 16-bit RL78/G16 series microcontroller in a 16SSOP package, built around the RL78 CPU core running at 16 MHz. The part includes a 7-channel multiplexed 8/10-bit ADC, capacitive touch sensing unit, POR, PWM, and WDT peripherals.
16 MHz core and peripheral set
At 16 MHz, this MCU handles moderate control loops — sensor polling, PWM generation, UART/SPI communication — without the overhead of a higher-frequency part. The 16 KB Flash is adequate for small firmware images with touch and ADC routines. Connectivity includes CSI, I2C, SPI, and UART/USART interfaces. The 7-channel ADC with selectable 8- or 10-bit resolution covers multi-sensor acquisition.
