The EL7252CSZ from Renesas (formerly Intersil) is a dual low-side gate driver built to drive both N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs with a 2A peak source and 2A peak sink current per channel. That 2A peak rating is the number that decides whether it can charge and discharge the gate capacitance of your chosen power FET fast enough to keep switching losses under control. With 10ns typ rise and fall times, it suits mid-frequency SMPS, DC-DC converters, and motor drive stages where clean gate drive transitions matter.
The 4.5V to 16V supply range covers 5V and 12V bias rails directly — no extra LDO needed if your rail is within that window. The inverting input logic thresholds (0.8V VIL, 2.4V VIH) are compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic families.
