Clock fanout buffer for 3.3V systems
The 74FCT38075DCGI8 is a single-input, five-output fanout buffer from Renesas' 74FCT series, designed to distribute a single LVTTL clock to up to five CMOS or TTL loads without adding skew.
166 MHz ceiling and 1:5 fanout
With a maximum frequency of 166 MHz, this buffer handles most microcontroller, FPGA, and Ethernet PHY reference clocks without signal degradation. The 1:5 input-to-output ratio lets a single oscillator feed five loads, eliminating the need for external fanout trees or multiple clock sources on the board. The non-differential input and output (LVTTL in, CMOS/TTL out) mean it is suited for single-ended clock distribution — no PECL or CML levels to terminate. The single-circuit design keeps the package small: an 8-SOIC with 0.154-inch body width, easy to route on two-layer boards.
Industrial temperature and active production
Both use the same die and footprint — the only difference is the shipping format.
