Dual-supply 16-bit level translator for 3.3V/5V bridging
The 74ALVC164245PAG8 is a 16-bit bidirectional voltage level translator from Renesas Electronics, part of the 74ALVC series. Each of the two 8-bit channels is independently controlled, so you can map one byte to a 5 V SPI flash and the other to a 5 V UART transceiver on the same device. The tri-state, non-inverted outputs let you bus the lines without contention when the output enable is deasserted.
Supply rails and direction control
Direction is per-channel (DIR pin for each 8-bit bank), and the output enable (OE) pulls all outputs into high-impedance state. The bidirectional architecture means a single part handles both transmit and receive paths without an external direction buffer.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 48-TFSOP (0.240", 6.10 mm width) package, also referred to as 48-TSSOP in the supplier device package field. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, covering industrial environments.
Production status and compliance
ROHS3 compliance is confirmed.
