1.5 kW bidirectional TVS for 48V bus protection
The 1.5SMC51CA_R1_00001: It clamps transients on a 43.6 V nominal rail to 70.1 V maximum, passing up to 21.4 A of surge current through the DO-214AB (SMC) package.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
With a minimum breakdown voltage of 48.5 V and a reverse standoff of 43.6 V, this part protects 48 V telecom or industrial DC buses where the nominal line sits below the standoff and the TVS remains transparent until a transient drives it into avalanche. The 70.1 V clamping voltage at 21.4 A peak pulse current means downstream components rated for 75 V or higher have adequate headroom — the TVS absorbs the surge before the voltage exceeds the downstream rating.
