The SMF24CT1 packs five unidirectional Zener TVS channels into a single SOT-363 package, each rated for a 24V reverse standoff and clamping at 44V on a 2.5A (8/20µs) pulse. The 100W peak pulse power per channel covers typical ESD and low-energy surge events on 24V DC rails — think sensor inputs, I/O lines, or relay driver outputs in industrial control panels. The 21pF capacitance at 1MHz per channel is moderate — it adds about 100pF total load across five lines, which is fine for slow signals like pushbuttons or 10kHz sensor edges but will degrade fast digital buses like SPI or CAN beyond a few MHz.
onsemi lists the SMF24CT1 as Obsolete. No stock-holding claim; each request is sourced per the quantity and date code range needed.
Package and footprint — SOT-363 layout notes
The SOT-363 (SC-88/SC70-6) footprint is 2.0mm × 2.1mm with 0.65mm lead pitch. The small body and fine pitch mean the PCB land pattern must match the supplier device package exactly — a standard SOT-23-6 footprint will not align because the lead spacing is different. Surface-mount assembly on a standard FR-4 board with 1oz copper and a 0.6mm via under the centre pad (if present) keeps the thermal impedance low enough for the 100W pulse without exceeding the 125°C junction limit.
