Zener TVS for 77.8 V rail protection
Breakdown and clamping thresholds
Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 86.5 V, with the device clamping the line to 125 V maximum under the 8/20 µs pulse condition. The 4.8 A peak pulse current rating reflects the current that the 600 W rating sustains into a 125 V clamp — a useful sanity check when estimating the surge capacity into a given source impedance.
onsemi lists the P6KE91ARL as Obsolete. For a BOM line that requires this exact order code, sourcing runs through independent distribution or surplus channels.
Through-hole axial package, supplier device package Axial.
This covers cold-start outdoor cabinets and hot under-hood automotive environments without derating the peak pulse power — the 600 W rating is specified at 25°C; derate linearly above that per the datasheet curve.
