It delivers 600 W peak pulse power per the 10/1000 µs waveform, with a minimum breakdown voltage of 8.65 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 13.4 V at the peak pulse current. The reverse standoff voltage is 7.78 V typical — the maximum DC voltage the protected line can carry without the diode conducting appreciably. The 45 A peak pulse current rating (8/20 µs) gives the surge-handling capacity for industrial and general-purpose protection applications.
Operating environment and package
The T-18 axial package (Through Hole) is a standard leaded format — the body diameter and lead spacing match legacy PCB layouts, and the axial leads allow insertion into through-hole boards or wire-wrap prototyping.
For new designs, a current-production TVS in the same P6KE family or a comparable 600 W axial device should be evaluated.
