Zener TVS for 171V rail protection
It is intended for general-purpose transient suppression on DC rails up to 171V, such as telecom line cards, industrial power supplies, or motor drive bus protection. The T-18 axial package (through-hole) suits point-to-point wiring or PCB mounting where a soldered leaded part is preferred over a surface-mount alternative.
Clamping voltage and surge current
The breakdown voltage min is 190V, so the device starts conducting at that threshold; the clamping voltage max of 274V is the peak voltage the protected circuit sees during a 2.2 A, 8/20 µs surge. The 600W peak pulse rating (10/1000 µs waveform) gives the energy-handling capacity for longer-duration surges, typical of lightning-induced transients on outdoor cables.
onsemi lists the P6KE200ARL as Obsolete. For a BOM line that must be filled today, we source the P6KE200ARL against your quantity — confirm the package (T-18 axial) and the voltage window (171V standoff) match your rail before committing.
Through-hole T-18 axial package — the leads are solder-dipped for tin/lead or lead-free wave soldering; the body is molded epoxy with a colour band indicating the cathode.
