Fixed 0.8V rail for low-voltage cores
The onsemi NCP571MN08TBG is a single-output positive LDO regulator that delivers a fixed 0.8V output at up to 150mA. That 0.8V rail is common for the core supply of low-power MCUs, FPGAs, and RF transceivers that run from a sub-1V domain — if your BOM calls for a clean 0.8V rail pulled from a higher input, this part fits that slot directly without external resistor dividers. Input voltage range goes up to 12V, so it can regulate down from a 5V or 3.3V system bus, a Li-ion cell, or a 12V intermediate rail. The quiescent current is just 1 µA typical, with a maximum supply current of 8 µA — the regulator's own draw is negligible in battery-powered or always-on designs where every microamp matters.
Dropout and protection for the real load
For a 150mA transient, the actual dropout will be higher than the 10mA spec point, so budget headroom accordingly when the load steps up. The enable pin lets you gate the output for sequenced power-up or shutdown, and the built-in over-current and over-temperature protection cover the typical fault cases without external supervisory circuitry.
Active production and compliance
ROHS3 compliant, so it clears the current EU restriction list without exemptions. No official second-source or pin-compatible alternate is documented, but the fixed 0.8V output and 6-DFN footprint narrow the search if you need a cross: look for other LDOs in the same package with the same output voltage and enable pin.
