Dual-channel isolation in an 8-SOIC footprint
The MOCD213M packs two independent transistor-output optocouplers into a single 8-SOIC package, saving board space compared to two single-channel parts. Each channel provides 2500Vrms galvanic isolation between a DC input LED and a phototransistor output, rated for continuous operation from -40°C to 100°C. Minimum current transfer ratio of 100% at 10mA forward current means the output transistor can sink enough current to drive a logic input or a low-power relay without extra gain stages.
Switching speed and output drive for PLC and sensor interfaces
Typical turn-on time of 3µs and turn-off time of 2.8µs, with rise/fall times of 1.6µs and 2.2µs respectively — fast enough for 24V PLC digital inputs, encoder pulse trains, and sensor status signals up to a few hundred kHz. Each output can handle up to 70V and 150mA continuous, with a maximum Vce saturation of 400mV at rated current. That gives enough headroom to switch 5V or 24V logic rails directly, or drive a small DC load without a buffer transistor.
Active production – no end-of-life concern
It is ROHS3 compliant and supplied in tubes.
Sourcing and package availability
Available in the 8-SOIC surface-mount package (0.154-inch body width, 3.90mm width). The dual-channel layout means the same PCB footprint as a standard SOIC-8, but with two isolated channels instead of one. Sourced per RFQ against your BOM quantity — no stock-holding claim, confirmed at quote time.
