Triac-output optoisolator for AC load switching
The MOC3062SM is an onsemi optoisolator with a triac output rated for 600 V off-state voltage and a minimum static dV/dt of 600 V/µs, making it suited for driving medium-voltage AC loads like solenoids, relays, and small motors from a low-voltage control side. The built-in zero-crossing circuit triggers the output triac near the AC line zero crossing, which reduces inrush current and radiated EMI during turn-on — a practical advantage for designs that must pass conducted emissions testing.
Isolation and package for board-level safety
With 4170 Vrms isolation and UL recognition, the MOC3062SM provides the reinforced insulation needed between the logic-side microcontroller and the 600 V AC line side in a single surface-mount gull-wing package (6-SMD).
Active lifecycle and compliance status
Sourcing is confirmed per RFQ against the BOM quantity.
