Triac output with zero-crossing — what it means for AC load switching
The integrated Triac output with zero-crossing circuit turns on only when the AC line voltage crosses zero, which limits the inrush current into capacitive or resistive loads and reduces conducted EMI at switch-on. Rated for 400 V off-state blocking voltage and a minimum static dV/dt of 1 kV/µs — the part resists false turn-on from fast line transients or inductive kickback that would otherwise trigger a standard Triac driver. The LED trigger current maximum is 15 mA with a typical forward voltage of 1.25 V, and the hold current is 400 µA typical — the downstream Triac stays latched once triggered until the load current drops below that threshold near the zero crossing.
6-SMD gull wing — rework and board integration
Housed in a 6-SMD gull wing package with a 1.27 mm pitch — the leads are exposed and inspectable, so rework under a hot-air station is straightforward. The package body is small enough that preheating the board to 100–120 °C before removal prevents pad lifting. Supplied in tube, not tape-and-reel — factor this into the pick-and-place feeder setup if the line expects reel packaging.
