The MOC3020SM is an active-production optoisolator from onsemi, listed as current lifecycle stage and ROHS3 compliant. Sourced to order against the BOM; availability and current pricing confirmed at RFQ.
Non-zero-crossing triac output for random-phase control
Output is a triac with no zero-crossing circuit — the device triggers on the LED signal regardless of the AC mains phase. This makes it suitable for random-phase firing in solid-state relays, motor speed controllers, and dimmers where phase-angle control is needed. The LED trigger current is 30 mA max, with a typical holding current of 100 µA, and the off-state voltage is rated 400 V. Isolation is 4170 Vrms, sufficient for line-voltage isolation in industrial and appliance applications.
Surface-mount 6-SMD gull-wing package
Housed in a 6-SMD gull-wing package (supplier device package 6-SMD), the MOC3020SM is intended for surface-mount assembly. The tube packaging suits pick-and-place lines that handle tube-fed components.
