Dual Darlington optoisolator with 5 kV isolation
The HCPL2731M from onsemi is a dual-channel Darlington-output optoisolator in an 8-DIP through-hole package. It provides 5000 Vrms of galvanic isolation between a DC input and a Darlington transistor output, making it suitable for isolating logic signals in industrial controls, PLC I/O modules, and motor-drive interfaces.
Current transfer ratio and drive requirements
With a minimum current transfer ratio of 500% at 1.6 mA forward current, the Darlington output can sink up to 60 mA per channel while the input LED draws only 1.6 mA typical.
