10 Mbps dual-channel optoisolator with Schottky clamp
The HCPL0637R2 from onsemi is a dual-channel optoisolator rated for 10 Mbps data rate with 3750 Vrms isolation between input and output sides. Operating from a 4.5V to 5.5V supply, it fits into 5 V logic systems directly.
75 ns propagation delay and 5 kV/µs common-mode immunity
Propagation delay is 75 ns max in both directions (tpLH and tpHL), which at 10 Mbps leaves roughly 25 ns of the bit period for jitter and skew budget. The minimum common-mode transient immunity of 5 kV/µs means the part rejects fast voltage transients between grounds — relevant in motor-drive or inverter applications where the switching node slews at several kV/µs. Rise time is 17 ns typical, fall time 5 ns typical; the asymmetry creates a duty-cycle skew of about 12 ns, which a downstream Schmitt trigger or FPGA input can absorb at 10 Mbps.
