Darlington output and high CTR for low-drive isolation
The H11G2M is a single-channel optoisolator from onsemi with a Darlington transistor output that includes a base terminal — useful for adding a pull-down resistor or tailoring the switching threshold. Its minimum current transfer ratio of 1000% at 10 mA forward current means the output can saturate with less than 1 mA of LED drive, which suits low-power microcontroller outputs or high-impedance sensor interfaces.
Isolation and voltage ratings for industrial bus isolation
Rated for 4170 Vrms isolation, the H11G2M provides a galvanic barrier between input and output sides.
Switching speed and temperature range
Turn-on time is 5 µs typical, turn-off time is 100 µs typical — this part is not intended for high-frequency PWM but works well for relay coil driving, DC load switching, or status-signal isolation where the signal changes at sub-kHz rates. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C covers industrial cabinet and outdoor telecom environments.
Active lifecycle and through-hole package
It is supplied in a 6-DIP through-hole package (0.300-inch body width, 7.62 mm pitch) on Tube. The through-hole format is straightforward for hand-assembly or rework, and the base terminal (pin 6) allows external biasing if needed.
