The H11A5FR2M: Packaged in a 6-SMD Gull Wing outline (supplier device package 6-SMD), it is supplied on Tape & Reel for surface-mount assembly.
Isolation and switching performance
Rated for 7500Vpk isolation voltage, this opto provides reinforced isolation between the input and output circuits — suitable for applications where transient overvoltages on the primary side must not reach the secondary-side logic. Typical turn-on and turn-off times of 2 µs each (at 10 mA forward current) support moderate-speed signal isolation, such as PLC digital inputs, relay drivers, or feedback from high-voltage DC buses.
Transfer ratio and drive requirements
Minimum current transfer ratio (CTR) of 30% at If=10 mA ensures the output transistor can saturate with a modest load resistor — a 10 mA input yields at least 3 mA of collector current, enough to drive a TTL gate or a small relay coil. Maximum forward voltage (Vf) is 1.18 V typical, and the LED can be driven up to 60 mA continuous without damage, though CTR is specified at the 10 mA test condition.
For existing BOM lines, qualify an alternate optoisolator with similar CTR, isolation, and package now to avoid a last-minute shortage.
