7500Vpk isolation in a 6-SMD gull wing
The onsemi H11A3SVM is a single-channel optoisolator in a 6-SMD gull wing package, designed for surface-mount assembly. Its headline rating is 7500Vpk isolation voltage — this is the peak transient the part can withstand between input and output without breakdown, making it suitable for applications where galvanic isolation must survive high-voltage spikes, such as in industrial power supplies or motor drive feedback circuits.
CTR floor and switching speed
Minimum current transfer ratio (CTR) is 20% at 10 mA forward current — at this drive level the output transistor saturates to within 400 mV (Vce(sat) max). The 2 µs typical turn-on and turn-off time means the part handles 250 kHz signaling comfortably, though the actual data rate depends on the load resistor and output capacitance on the collector. Forward voltage is 1.18 V typical at 10 mA, and the absolute maximum DC forward current is 60 mA. The output transistor is rated for 30 V collector-emitter maximum. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 100°C, covering most industrial and telecom ambient conditions.
onsemi lists the H11A3SVM as obsolete. No pin-compatible direct replacement from onsemi has been published, so a board-level qualification is needed if migrating to a different optoisolator.
