Rated for 5300 Vrms isolation between input and output — this is the figure that determines whether the part meets the reinforced insulation requirement in a mains-isolated feedback loop or PLC digital input. The 20% minimum current transfer ratio at 10 mA forward current means the downstream transistor pulls enough collector current to saturate the output logic; if the CTR drops below that threshold at temperature or over life, the output may not switch cleanly.
