The FODM8071 is a single-channel digital optoisolator from onsemi that delivers 20 Mbps data rate with a push-pull, totem-pole output. It is designed for isolating high-speed digital signals in industrial fieldbuses, PLC digital I/O, and motor-drive feedback paths. The output type eliminates the need for a pull-up resistor and directly drives CMOS or TTL logic inputs. Propagation delay is 55 ns max, and rise/fall times are 5.8 ns / 5.3 ns typ, keeping signal edge degradation low at 20 Mbps.

Isolation and transient immunity for motor-drive environments

With 3750 Vrms isolation and a common-mode transient immunity of 20 kV/µs minimum, the FODM8071 maintains output state integrity during fast switching events in inverter legs or motor-drive power stages.
