The FODM611R2 is a single-channel, 10 Mbps optocoupler from onsemi designed for galvanic isolation in industrial communication links such as Profibus, DeviceNet, and RS-485 interfaces. Its open-collector output with Schottky clamp directly drives 5V logic families without external level shifting. The 3750 Vrms isolation rating meets reinforced insulation requirements per IEC 60747-5-5, suitable for mains-connected equipment where safety isolation is mandatory.

Common-mode transient immunity for motor-drive environments

With a minimum common-mode transient immunity of 20 kV/µs, the FODM611R2 rejects fast dV/dt edges from IGBT and SiC switching in variable-frequency drives and motor inverters.
