Triac output with zero-crossing for clean AC switching
The FODM3063 is a 1-channel triac output optoisolator from onsemi, designed for driving AC loads like solenoids, motors, and relays. Its built-in zero-crossing circuit turns on the triac near the AC voltage zero, which limits inrush current and reduces conducted EMI — a real advantage when the load is inductive or the line is noisy.
600 V/µs dV/dt and 3750 Vrms isolation
Minimum static dV/dt is 600 V/µs, which means the output triac won't falsely trigger from fast voltage transients on the AC line — common in motor-drive or relay-coil kickback environments. The 3750 Vrms isolation rating supports reinforced insulation per UL/VDE, so this part can sit on the mains side of a power supply without needing extra creepage distance.
Industrial temperature range and surface-mount package
Rated for -40°C to 100°C, the FODM3063 fits outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor I/O modules, and HVAC controllers. The 4-SMD Gull Wing package with a 1.27 mm pitch is a standard footprint for optoisolators — reflow-compatible and easy to inspect.
