Single-channel 5kV transistor optocoupler in 4-DIP
The FOD817C300 is an onsemi single-channel optoisolator with a DC infrared LED input and a phototransistor output, housed in a standard 4-DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package. Current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified at 200% minimum and 400% maximum at a forward current of 5mA, giving a predictable gain window for logic-level interface or feedback loop design.
Parametric fit for isolated feedback and signal transfer
Output transistor can handle up to 70V collector-emitter and 50mA continuous current, with a typical Vce(sat) of 200mV at rated drive — sufficient for driving a microcontroller input or a gate driver stage.
