The FOD3120V is a single-channel optocoupled gate driver from onsemi, delivering 3 A peak output current with 5000 Vrms isolation — enough to drive medium-power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor drives and industrial inverters without a separate booster stage.
60 ns switching with 35 kV/µs transient immunity
Maximum propagation delay is 400 ns with pulse-width distortion capped at 100 ns, giving the designer a predictable timing budget for dead-time insertion.
Supplied in Tube for the 8-DIP through-hole package. The through-hole form factor suits prototype builds, low-volume production, and rework scenarios where a soldering iron is preferred over a reflow oven.
Supply range 15 V to 30 V, industrial temperature grade
